New Website!!

I have finally started work on a new homepage.
It's looking pretty sexy, but not too much content yet...working on that.

Be sure to visit!! .... mikedonovan.net
And you can record your merciless bagging of it for posterity in the comments for this blog entry.

By the way, the banner image of Mount Fuji is a panorama shot which I sewed together from photos I took with Tomo on our trip there in early 2005.

New School Year

Start of the new school year at Yono Nishi Chu Gakko (Yono West Middle School) today. I turned up this morning and the whole staff room had changed. I'd forgotten to prepare myself for that. About 9 staff had changed (including pretty much all of the ones I would call friends), and the rest had changed desks. So my friends Kato Sensei and Oka Sensei have moved on, and also the animated Minami Sensei and Fukuda Sensei. Basically the youngies replaced with older versions. The place now resembles a morgue more than ever.

Oh well, it's Friday today, so we're off to Riki tonight, to drink our troubles away. Shawna's Canadian Mom is apparently coming, and there should be a few there. Looking forward to it.

Scotch and soda on a Friday afternoon....courtesy of a Bigfooty thread Posted by Hello

Well, let's join the phenomenon...

Ok, so I've heard about blogging, read a few blogs here and there, but it didn't really seem like me. Until now. Today i downloaded google's Picasa 2 image organising software (which looks awsesome so far), and the Getting Started pages for Picasa were going on about how easy it was to upload images to a blog site. Couple that with the fact that for aaaaaaaaaaaaaages I have wanted to create some kind of personal website with more content than my current one, and I thought "Hey, what the hell, let's Blog!" :)

So let the show begin....
